This is for the old/early design exhaust system that had a 3" inlet on the y-tube and likely a 3" riser and likely a reduction boot that goes from the 3" riser to the 4" inlet on this unit

Please inspect pictures to ensure satisfaction and note metal condition

and if you are still having issues go ahead and rebuild it with a kit

Evinrude Sportwin 2.5hp 4209 1937 Outboard Ignition Coil Plate Flame Arrestor Nicks and dings in propItem Details This is from a 1937 Evinrude Sportwin 2. 5hp Model 4209 with Serial Number 01750 I couldn't get this to pass my resistance test. I'm not sure if it's completely not working, or my testing on this type of coil was incorrect. Anyway, it looks like the spark plug wires have been replaced at some point. Unsure of condition of coils & condensor Basically I know the plate is good here, so if any of the other parts are good, it's just a bonus
