Im someone that regularly ties a lot of utility into my land slots, and I expect others to do the same
Choose a commander you enjoy, define a clear strategy, add 7-10 win conditions, add the core components (draw, ramp, removal), build a 36-38 land mana base with color fixing, then playtest and tune the ratio
I think Wizards got a lot right here, building Karador for the long game with their ability to reduce their cost and by extension, commander tax and restricting the reanimation ability to once per turn
